UAE-Pakistan travel: flydubai suspends Islamabad, Lahore and Peshawar flights until October
Karachi routes continue without disruption
DUBAI – UAE’s low-cost carrier flydubai has suspended flight operations to and from Islamabad, Lahore and Peshawar until October 26, citing “operational reasons”, according to the airline’s flight inquiry office in Pakistan.
The move affects several regular services between Pakistan and Dubai that have remained cancelled since at least May 7.
Operations to Karachi, however, continue without disruption.
Route suspensions
The airline confirmed that flights between Dubai and Islamabad (FZ353 and FZ354), Lahore (FZ359 and FZ360), and Peshawar (FZ375 and FZ376) have been affected. Aviation tracking platform Flightradar24 showed repeated cancellations on the routes over recent days.
flydubai launched operations to Islamabad and Lahore in July 2024, later expanding its Pakistan network with Peshawar flights in May last year. The airline has rapidly grown its footprint in the region, serving travellers, expatriates and business passengers between the UAE and Pakistan.
Reduced schedule
A statement published on flydubai’s website on March 31 said the carrier was operating flights across its network on a reduced schedule. The airline advised passengers to regularly check flight status updates before travelling to the airport.
While the airline did not directly refer to the Middle East conflict that escalated after US-Israeli strikes on Iran on March 28, it stated that it continued to “closely monitor the situation” and adjust operations accordingly. flydubai added that the safety of passengers and crew remained its “highest priority”.
